Wow....what a truly great and dynamic gymnast.....can someone please answer this question for me, tho....I noticed Nia did not travel from edge to edge, as I've seen happen during many other routines done by other gymnasts....questions for those who know: Do the judges expect the entire mat (from corner to corner) to be covered during the routine? Or, is it enough that the competitor covers all the elements during the routine?

I see a lot of dancing and minimum/essential gymnastics. She is definitely talented but this performance does not speak international/Olympic elite gymnastics. It might be popular among Usa college/gymnastics style. I wish to see her more in classic gymnastics. Lovely girl who is obviously loving her sport.

This isn't international/Olympic gymnastics, though. I find the elite levels have become somewhat stale and rigid, in large part due to the scoring and restrictive regulations. Collegiate gymnastics is fun to watch because there's more room for creativity, personality, and unique expression. I enjoy both and don't see the point in comparing the two. Also, the musical genres and dance styles in this routine are rarely—if ever—featured in US collegiate gymnastics. That's why it's gone viral; people like seeing something different.

Never thought I could ever enjoy this sport....love the athleticism but the flavor was a beautiful touch! Nice seeing it revamped 😎😇👌
