Really loved the tribute to Alex Trebek. Growing up, Jeopardy! has always been my favorite show of all time ever since when I was a little kid. Every day, I miss Alex Trebek a lot but I know is that he is always in our hearts and we always need to carry on his legacy.

@Thevidgame, do you still have the full episode of Jeopardy! from January 8, 2021? As of today (February 14, 2021) I can't find it the January 8, 2021 episode anywhere online at all! 🙁 I do have Google Drive but I don't know how you are going to send it where I can see it but as long as it's not recorded from a cellphone camera. Alex Trebek's final episode as host of Jeopardy! would be a great keepsake. Looking forward to seeing it again soon! 🙂

I do have a DVR recording of it saved. I just have to record it myself and edit out the advertisements. I haven't gotten a chance to as of yet. I will hopefully do so soon.

I used to watch Jeopardy! all the time with my dad and grandmother all the time. I remember one of the Final Jeopardy! clues was asking for a song. I wasn't sure what it was but started singing Amazing Grace in my head. I started freaking out when that was revealed to be the answer. My other grandparents always watched it. I didn't care for it when I was little but I sat down and watched it and actually enjoyed it. I even have a few Jeopardy! video games. I'm 26 years old and about to be 27 at the end of the month. Alex Trebek was an enormous part of my childhood. It’s going to be quite odd not looking forward to new episodes every night with him. His legacy will live on for years and years to come.

They should have let that dumpster fire-of-a-game-show, Wheel of Fortune, take the night off so that Alex's final episode could have been an hour long. Half for the episode and half for a more proper send-off. The guy was on the show for a very, very long time and became a TV icon in the process. All he got was a couple minutes' worth of a montage and that was it. I know this caused a lot of tears to flow, but honestly, I am still astounded this was the best Sony and CBS could do.

At the end of his life, he said bravely, "Goodbye everyone. Have a great life, and thank you."

It's not unusual for me to cry, but it is most unusual that I would shed a tear for a "game show host." But he was so much more than that. Alex was a member of all of our families, that person we've invited into our homes five nights a week for decades. And it's not like we didn't see this coming. And yet, here we sit and watch, knowing this was to be for the last time, and yes, I cried. Farewell, Alex Trebek, and thanks for everything.

Alex Trebek's legacy is one of honor and distinction. Game Shows around the world will never forget him and neither will we. I've been a fan of the show since I was 6, and remember distinctly pretending to be Alex and hosting a game for my action figures. I dreamed that one day I would be on that stage, see him in person and tell him thank you for being a wonderful inspiration for me to study and acquire all the knowledge I can. Now I suppose I'll have to wait a little longer to do that.

Started watching this show with my grandmother when I was like 6 , Then watched it with my kids who are around 6, All time favorite (game) show , Is there anybody in the civilized world who has not watched this show, with their parents, or grandparents, or kids?

Alex Trebek’s penultimate episode, which is before this one, is all female. An error in Final Jeopardy! by Tracy Lee, who dominated Double Jeopardy!, led Yoshie Hill to emerge victorious. Tracy Lee was the only contestant in that episode who responded incorrectly in Final Jeopardy!. The subject of that episode’s Final Jeopardy! was Musicals.

I was so sad when I saw this episode the other night. I knew they were airing his last episodes, but I was not aware that this one was the final one until the tribute played. I felt like crying watching the tribute.

Hopefully the producers of Jeopardy can find a suitable replacement. Does anyone remember if Alex Trebek was considered a good choice when the show relaunched in 1984, replacing Art Fleming?
