What people got: a wireless “wired” charger that you can attach to your phone that will charge your phone less effectively then a wired charger, and make it more inaccessible to pick up and go then a wireless charger.

You can use a cheap cable management accessory to keep the charger down and use it like a wireless charger, then you can just pluck it off from there to use the charger while using the phone.

There is no point to test magnet strength, it is not supposed to be used in cars or some wild situations.

the whole point in wireless charging is that you can just put the phone on there and just simply pick it up... the magnet defeats that whole prosess.

If the next iPhone 13 comes with NO ports it makes sense that the magnets hold the iPhone to the charger so you can use your phone when it‘s charging otherwise there is no win to this because you have to pull your charger away every single time you want to use your iPhone without it 🧐

The original MagSafe on laptops actually solved an issue and was a design gem! Wireless charging was supposed to be fixed with the AirPower mat, place it anywhere and it charges multiple compatible devices that can fit on the mat. Working with velcro....

This charger its the more practical solution to "wireless" charging. Before this I've never considered to buy a Qi charger because I use the phone while charging quite a lot.

It is helping the environment cuz now there’s less reason to wear out charging ports and lightning cables And this MagSafe doesn’t just sit still at the angle you place it, it sticks but can spin freely as you move about the phone so it’s less likely to get damaged So overall a lot less damaged and worn out cables and charging ports on phones
